Statement on Ethics and Malpractice in Scientific Publishing

The journal “Gestion I+D” has as a reference the Code of Conduct and Good Practices defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for editors of scientific journals in order to have the necessary basis to standardize the ethics and quality of published articles. The editorial committee should ensure that all actors (researcher, editorial committee and referee committee) comply with ethical standards throughout the editorial process.

In this sense, the actors involved in this process should:

Authors should:

  • Present contributions resulting from original and unpublished research, including the data obtained and used within the research, sufficient contributions so that any researcher can repeat the research carried out and confirm or refute the interpretations defended in the contribution.
  • Be aware of and refrain from engaging in violations of publication ethics.
  • To present their results clearly, honestly and without falsification or manipulation.
  • Ensure that the data and results presented in their contribution are original and have not been copied, invented, distorted or manipulated.
  • They should avoid duplication within the different contributions submitted (multiple or redundant publications), either as an article or as a chapter, or it will be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All authors must have contributed significantly within the contributions.
  • Must inform the editorial board when they have a direct or indirect conflict of interest with the editors or members of the editorial team or the international scientific committee.
  • Communicate to the journal as soon as possible, to modify their article, withdraw it, retract it or publish a correction or erratum, when they detect an error in the article already published.
  • Comply with the deadlines requested during the correction of contributions.
  • Attend to the observations and editorial and academic opinions in a timely and clear manner. When for any reason you do not agree with any of the criteria sent, you must send the respective justification and/or clear position to the editorial committee in order to provide your criteria to the arbitration committee.
