Strengthening academic integrity through AI. Plagiarism prevention strategies in the digital age
Keywords:
Artificial Intelligence, Academic Integrity, Plagiarism Prevention, Information Sciences, Intellectual PropertyAbstract
This study delves into the qualitative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on detecting and preventing plagiarism within Information Sciences, aiming to strengthen academic integrity and protect intellectual property. Through a qualitative and bibliographic approach, the research examines real-world cases and related literature on AI technologies, focusing on the perspectives of academics and professionals in the fight against plagiarism. The findings are expected to provide a deep understanding of the dynamics and efficacy of AI in academic contexts, highlighting the challenges, opportunities, and best practices for its implementation. The study anticipates recognizing AI as a valuable, albeit complex, tool in the battle against plagiarism, contributing to a more ethical and secure academic framework. The integration of AI methods into the review and verification processes of scientific works is recommended to enhance the originality and integrity of academic knowledge.
