Tideglusib: una nueva visión para la regeneración dentinaria
Abstract
Tideglusib is a potent glycogen synthase kinase (GSK-3) inhibitor drug that belongs to a family of non-ATP competing drugs, its selectivity and irreversibility characteristics have allowed it to be used in different investigations for a possible clinical use both for neurodegenerative diseases and for regeneration of tertiary dentin after dental caries or trauma. These types of injuries are traditionally treated with the use of filling materials, or simply artificial filling. However, this classical method can be quite questionable, due to the problems that it entails when trying to replace living tissue with completely inert matter. The objective of this review was provide an approach for its application as a regeneration mechanism of tertiary dentin, obtaining favorable results that could replace the restoration by filling, by a physiological approach that will allow a total return of vitality and functionality to the dental organ obtaining favorable results.
