Fuentes y niveles de estrés percibidas entre estudiantes de odontología durante la pandemia por COVID-19

Objetivo: Identificar los niveles y fuentes de estrés percibidas entre estudiantes de odontología de una universidad privada ecuatoriana durante la pandemia por COVID-19.
Métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal. Se aplicó el cuestionario Dental Environmental Stress a 321 estudiantes.
Resultados: La mayoría de estudiantes se sintieron estresados por la carga académica, donde la cantidad de tareas asignadas en clase (95,3%) encabeza la lista, seguida por su dificultad (92,2%), evaluaciones y calificaciones (91,9%), miedo a reprobar un curso (90,3%), dificultad en aprender las habilidades manuales y precisión requeridas en el trabajo preclínico y de laboratorio (75,4%), dificultad en aprender los procedimientos clínicos y protocolos (74,5%), inconsistencia en la retroalimentación sobre su trabajo entre los instructores (as) (74,1), cumplir con los requisitos de titulación (70,1%).
Conclusión: Las principales fuentes de estrés percibidas entre los estudiantes de odontología durante el COVID-19 son la carga académica, limitaciones de tiempo y entrenamiento clínico.
