Resumen

Introduction: Chagas disease is an expanding etiology for heart failure (HF) worldwide. However, this variable is lacking in diffused mortality models by etiology. Objective: to assess Chagas’s heart failure mortality odds in a public health care center at a one-year follow-up. Methods: A multivariate model containing clinical and laboratory data was used to construct a risk score. For comparison, we evaluated groups based on etiology: ischemic (n = 122), Chagas (n = 178), and non-ischemic (n = 249).
