Resumen
Background: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease leading to major public health problems worldwide and continuing to increase every year. Hypertension is often known as “the silent killer” because it does not usually cause symptoms on its own, yet it slowly damages the blood vessels and in the long term, becomes a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. This study aims to determine the associated risk factors of hypertension among people of productive age in the working area of the Bara Baraya Public Health Center, Makassar City, Indonesia.
