Abstract

Aim: Developing intervention strategies to avoid the caregiver syndrome in relatives of people with disabilities attended at Centro de Salud Tulcán Sur. Methodology: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study to elaborate an analysis and interpretation of results obtained in the development of the research, in addition, some methods and techniques such as the survey, were used using the Scale of Zarit in a population of 30 caregivers of people with disabilities, helping in the collection of real data. Results and Conclusion: Among the main results, it was diagnosed that 100% of caregivers suffered an overload of work, it is highlighted that the methodology used was descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional, which served as the basis for the preparation of the proposal and as a public health professional, intervention in the application of the proposal focused on intervention strategies framed in the promotion and prevention, fundamental referents described in the current health model, whose results were to reduce the overload of work in the caretakers, so the family shared took responsibilities and improved their quality of life.
