Critica y formación al método de alfabetización silábico adaptado al idioma Yanomami

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como propósito describir el impacto del método de alfabetización silábico adaptado al idioma Yanomami dialecto Parima “B”, del Municipio Alto Orinoco del Estado Amazonas, que fue utilizado por la Misión Nuevas Tribus en la década de los años 90, mediante la aplicación controlada a un grupo de 10 participantes pertenecientes a este pueblo indígena, durante un periodo de 60 días. Con el objetivo de conocer las estrategias inmersa en el método, describir el comportamiento de cada uno de los participantes tanto de forma individual como colectiva, determinar la pertinencia de dicha metodología como instrumento de alfabetización para la lengua yanomami en la Sierra Parima “B” y finalmente establecer las críticas y fortalezas a dicha metodología. La investigación estuvo enmarcada dentro del paradigma cualitativo, bajo el método de la investigación acción. El proceso contó con el apoyo y participación de miembros del pueblo Yanomami, así como también con la colaboración de la Sra. Marg Jank, autora de la adaptación del método de alfabetización Silábico. Los resultados demuestran que las estrategias, actividades y recursos que propone el método de alfabetización silábico, son eficaces en el propósito de alfabetizar. En cuanto a la pertinencia cultural se puede afirmar que el contenido del método, entiéndase sílabas, palabras, frases, oraciones e instrucciones, comprendidas en: cartillas, silabario, tarjetas y manuales para el maestro, son lingüística y culturalmente pertinente. Dentro de las críticas se destacan: El manual para los maestros debe describir lo referente al intervalo numérico en el uso de las tarjetas. Referente a las fortalezas, se evidencio que es un método sencillo, fácil de aplicar y adaptable a otros idiomas.

ABSTRACT: The current investigative work proposed to describe the impact of the syllabic literacy method adapted to the Parima B dialect of the Yanomami language spoken in the high Orinoco in Amazonas State, which was employed by the New Tribes Mission during the 1990s, through the controlled application to a group of 10 participants belonging to that indigenous people, during a period of 60 days, with the objective of knowing the immersive strategies in the method, and describe the behavior of each participant individually as well as collectively, to determine the relevance of the said method as an instrument of literacy for the Yanomani language en the Parima B mountains and finally to establish the strengths and weaknesses of this method. The investigation was defined within the qualitative model, under the the method of the investigative action. The process depended on the support and participation of members of the Yanomami people, as well as the collaboration of Mrs. Marg Jark, who adapted the method Syllabic literacy. The results demonstrate that the strategies, activities and resources proposed method syllabic literacy, are effective in the purpose of literacy. As for the cultural relevance it can be said that the contents of this method, understood syllables, words, phrases, sentences and instructions included: primers, primer, cards and teacher's manuals are linguistically and culturally appropriate. Among the reviews are: The manual for teachers should describe the numerical range regarding the use of the cards. Regarding strengths, was evident which is a simple, easy method to implement and adaptable to other languages.
